First of all, I received a call about an hour before my appointment telling me that there might be a little wait as Dr. Montagne had been delayed by surgery. Understanding that scenario all too well, I would have had no problem with waiting. The call was not necessary, but it was a classy touch for it showed respect for my time. Thank you! That respect and a genuine kindness was evident from check in to check out, and was VERY MUCH admired and appreciated. A previous GI appointment had the doctor come in, not ask one question and proceed to tell me a thorough run down of my records. Then, after agreeing with some of his points, I shared my concern and asked a question to which I heard, “If you want a second opinion, I’ll be glad to send you to MUSC.” 😐🤨. Both Wesley and Dr. Montagne showed interest and asked lots of questions, and, much to my wonder, actually listened to the answers. We may never completely figure out my quirky colon, but the ability to be able to talk, honestly, about the issues meant more to me than you can ever imagine. Forever grateful.
Dr. Montagne and staff continue to amaze. He is the best, most caring, and thorough doctor I have ever had. I sing his praises whenever the opportunity avails itself. He has saved my life.
Dr. Montagne is a great doctor. He took time with me and explained my care plan. I am very grateful we still have doctors like him.
